Zahíra Y. Colón Collazo is an Associate in the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group.

Experience

Before joining McConnell Valdés, Ms. Colón worked as a teacher in the Social Studies Department of American School in Bayamón. In 2006, she was a summer associate at McConnell Valdés. During her last year in law School, Ms. Colón practiced Immigration Law as part of the Immigration Law Clinic of the University of Puerto Rico Legal Aid Clinic. She litigated cases before the Immigration Court in Puerto Rico and assisted clients in obtaining the legal remedies available to them.

Education

Ms. Colón earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus, in May 2003. Ms. Colón earned her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in May 2007.

Ms. Colón is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
