Yadira Rivera-Cintrón is an Associate in the Corporate Practice Group and part of the Government Affairs Practice Area.

Experience:

Before joining McConnell Valdés, Ms. Rivera-Cintrón was the former Director of Legal Affairs of the Office of the Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico. Prior to this she served as Legal Counsel of the island's Commissioner of Financial Institutions. Before this appointment, she was Assistant District Attorney in the White Collar Crimes Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.

From 1999 to 2000 Ms. Rivera-Cintrón served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Baltasar Corrada del Río, Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.

Education:

She graduated with a Bachelor in Arts in Public Communications, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico in 1994. She obtained a Juris Doctor from the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Law in 1998. She was a member of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review from 1996-1998.

Admissions:

Admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

She is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
