Mariana S. Pérez-Cordero is an Associate in the Environmental and Land Use Law Practice Group.

Practice Areas

Mrs. Pérez-Cordero main areas of practice include work related to enforcement, cost recovery, regulatory compliance, land use and permitting-related matters. In addition, she provides counseling regarding federal and state environmental statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.

Experience

Before joining McConnell Valdés, Mrs. Pérez-Cordero worked as a judicial clerk for Hon. Francisco Rebollo-López, Associate Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. Previously, she worked as a judicial clerk for Hon. Zaddette Bajandas-Vélez and Hon. Nestor Aponte-Hernández, Judges of the Puerto Rico Appellate Court. While completing her Juris Doctor, Mrs. Pérez-Cordero served as an editor of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, and as a law clerk in the Federal Litigation Division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.

Education

In 2001, Mrs. Pérez-Cordero obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences, from the University of Puerto Rico, Magna Cum Laude. In 2004, she obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico, Magna Cum Laude.

Admissions

Mrs. Pérez-Cordero is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
