Leslie Y. Flores-Rodríguez is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group.

Practice Areas and Experience

Ms. Flores-Rodríguez's practice includes general civil and commercial litigation, concentrating on constitutional, jurisdictional and contractual disputes. She is a member of the firm's Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Area. Her first commercial arbitration ended with a favorable award for the firm's client. Ms. Flores-Rodríguez represents the Puerto Rico Olympic Trust on a pro bono basis.

Education

She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication, summa cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico. Ms. Flores-Rodríguez was awarded the Rosa Axtmayer scholarship while completing her undergraduate studies.

Her published article "Soberanía o soberano engaño: La libre asociación como alternativa descolonizadora" was the winner of the first prize at the Nilita Vientós Gastón judicial writing competition sponsored by the University of Puerto Rico Law Review. Ms. Flores-Rodríguez also assisted in editing the books: "La negociación y la mediación" and "Las cláusulas modificativas de la responsabilidad extracontractual", both by Luis Muñiz Argüelles.

Admissions

Ms. Flores-Rodríguez is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

She is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
