José R. Nadal-Power is an Associate in the Corporate Practice Group, and part of the Government Affairs Practice Area.
Experience
From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Nadal-Power served as an Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Mayor of San Juan, Hon. Sila M. Calderón. In 2001, he became a Legislative Advisor in the Office of the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico, Hon. Aníbal Acevedo-Vilá, at the United States Congress in Washington, D.C. Four years later, in 2005, he was named Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico, Hon Aníbal Acevedo Vilá, on Public Policy and Municipal Affairs.
Practice Areas
Mr. Nadal-Power's main practice area is government affairs, where he contributes his experience in policy development at both the federal and state levels. Other areas of practice include insurance law and general corporate matters.
Education
In 1996, he obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. In 1999, Mr. Nadal-Power obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and president of the American Bar Association's UPR Law Student Division. Two years later, in 2001, he obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Political Studies from the International and Ibero-American Foundation of Public Administration and Policies in Madrid, Spain.

Mr. Nadal-Power is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
